Kerinci
Seblat National Park is the largest national park in Sumatra ,
Indonesia, which has an area of 13.750 km ² and stretches to the four
provinces of West Sumatra , Jambi , Bengkulu and South Sumatra . This national park lies at between 100 ° 31'18 " E - 102 ° 44'01 " E and 1 ° 07'13 " S - 1 ° 26'14 " S.
This
national park consists of the Bukit Barisan Mountains which has the
highest plateau region in Sumatra , Mount Kerinci ( 3,805 m ) . This national park also consists of a spring - hot springs , rushing
rivers wing , caves , waterfalls waterfalls and the highest caldera lake
in Southeast Asia , Mount Seven .
The national park also has a variety of flora and fauna . About
4,000 species of plants growing in the area of national parks including
the world 's largest flower Rafflesia Arnoldi , and the highest rate in
the world , the Titan Arum . Fauna in the national park area comprises , among others, Sumatran
tiger , Sumatran rhinoceros , Sumatran Elephant , Clouded Tiger , Malay
Tapir , Sun Bear , and about 370 species of birds .
Receipt
of the Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra to the list of World
Heritage Sites by UNESCO , making Kerinci Seblat National Park is also
accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site . Together with the Gunung Leuser National Park and Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park .
